Edsel already did the MGM catalog as twofers, I'm only missing one there, but I'm wondering if these might have better sound, so I'd be interested to hear from other icers what they think of these new ones.

Sony Europe says these are newly remastered. Now, whether that means they'll be better or worse than the Edsels is another matter. But these are new, different masterings of the material.

Boy, these look great. The original albums with original covers as single, discrete cds. The list price is pretty high, however. I'm going to wait and see if Amazon or anyone else will offer them at a more discounted rate.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who nabs these about the mastering quality.
