Heard today that supposedly they're considering Angelina Jolie as Catwoman for the projected third Nolan movie. Of course, Nolan is not signed to do another Bat-movie, but I imagine Warners will offer him whatever he wants for a follow-up to The Dark Knight.

I could see Jolie as Catwoman. Yes, indeed. Though I'd rather they pursue one of the Bat-villains that hasn't been immortalized on celluloid yet.

Apparently, the Jolie rumor started with Julie Newmar commenting that her "sources" tell her that Jolie is interested, which then spread to various news outlets.

Johnny Depp as the Riddler is a big rumor.

Well, if it erases the bad memory of Jim Carrey in the Schumacher film, maybe. Would Depp do a non-Burton Bat-film, though? He and Burton are long-time collaborators. Makes me wonder...

I've also read rumours of Philip Seymour Hoffman or Patton Oswalt as the Penguin.

Someone on the Bendis Board suggested Paul Giamatti for the Penguin. I'd take him over Oswalt (not a good actor) or Hoffman (brilliant actor, but I can't see it).

I'd rather not see Penguin, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Bane or any of the others from the earlier sequence of Bat-movies. Catwoman maybe. Angelina Jolie could do it, considering how she was in the Tomb Raider movies and Wanted. I think she's too old now.

After Underworld, I don't trust a movie that stars Kate Beckinsale in skin-tight leather. Sad, but true.

I want Dawson in this costume, too.

Depp is said to be in the next Sin City, so I'm not sure I'm seeing another comic book thing. Of course, Sin City is in production soon I think, so they may be 2 years apart.

Patton Oswalt -- I like him, but gimme a break. No big screen chops. He's out.

Jolie as Catwoman is interesting and I think she could do it, just as long as she isn't "Angelina Jolie in a Catwoman outfit."
