He died at 37 just a few hours ago. Cancer. I liked his stuff for the most part. Very sad. I hope his company "Aspen" decides to go on in his memory.

I didn't know him or his work but cancer sucks and dying, particularly at an age as young as 37, sucks. Rest in peace.

Wow.

He had fought and won a very public battle with cancer a few years ago.

What a shame.

This one shocks me despite knowing about the battle Chris mentions. Damn, he was my age.

Another one lost too soon to cancer - not that there is ever a good reason for someone to go too soon.

Rest in peace.

it always hits close when someone my age passes away...

It's funny now.

The reason I knew he'd been sick the last week or two was this:
People had ordered a statue from Aspen, that came with a signed Turner print.

Some people weren't happy that there's got bent in the mail, and were waiting for him to sign the new ones.

Turns out the man's dying, and people aren't happy because their paper was bent.

Really puts things into perspective :(

I had no clue about his battle with cancer. I for one am one that believes anyone fighting a debilitating disease is a hero. He really was a great cover artist. I'd often thought his story art was a little stiff, but at least it was pretty.

I will miss seeing his work. My prayers and thoughts will be with his family and friends.

RIP Michael Turner.

I was not a fan of his artwork because although he drew beautiful
characters on the surface, there was something lacking underneath.
However, he did not deserve to die this soon. My condolances to
his family and friends.
