Amazing Spider-Man #3 (Good Minus) and #4 (about VG with extra staple in center).
These two would complete my Ditko Spidey collection, and they fit into my Good-Fine books
already. Trouble is, I haven't got a new Overstreet, and I'm not seeing much online at the
moment to give me a good feel for what these are going for lately.

If you know, please let me know. I'll probably be making an offer soon on the both of them.

It would be a shame if there was a burglary right when you and your friend were discussing price.

It would be shame if I told the Dorris that she could throw them out.

Mile High prices are definitely "Mile High." I bought issue #2 last year for $300. It would be VG, except
the cover is detached on one staple. I've found that the prices listed in the last Overstreet that I bought
(2001) are priced at about what issues normally go for in real life today on eBay. A Good copy of issue #3
lists at $180, while a VG copy of #4 (an average of Good and Fine prices) is about $308. Even with the
decline in the comics industry, lack of new fans, etc., I don't feel too worried about spending a little
extra for Spider-Man issues, as he will remain popular. I'll probably offer $500, then sell off the rest of my
Spidey collection after about issue #50 to help pay for them.

Beachy asked us for help and then gave us a tongue-lashing lecture.

Tongue lashing, huh?
Other than, Mahoney, who gave some prices,
your help, Jay, was what, to get me to beef up home security?

I was taking credit for Mahoney's help.

And, in my defense, the burglary was always going to be the other guy's house. I said "when you were discussing price," so the transaction has not yet happened.

And no one was going to be hurt. The gun was just for precaution in case anybody got all mouthy.

Well, he is Canadian. :sigh:

He's a great guy. One of my favorites from the Alvaro Gold, Silver, and Bronze-Age Comic Board.
We crunched some older Overstreet prices (my 2001 Guide lists $488) and his 2003 Guide lists
$528. As I can routinely get old Ditko on eBay for about what it lists for in my 2001 Guide, I emailed
him I would be happy in the $450 - $500 range, and just offered him $475.

$500 is still a lot for comics that I have reprinted four or five times each, but, that's being a collector
for you.

Oh, and Mahoney, if I do sell off my other Spidey's beyond issue #50, I'll let you know. I forgot that
I still have a check coming from the government, so I won't have to sell to buy these. My collection
gets a little sparse after #72. I bought isue #2, and 15, and 60 last year, so, if I get these two issues,
I'll be complete until #72. Almost nothing from there until #97. Otherwise, it's prety solid up until #328,
missing maybe about 20 issues.

Technically, those issues in the picture are my copies of the German repeats.
But I did purchase the two issues listed at the start of this thread!

I know. I was 200 behind you when you said "To bring it!" when I said I was going to pass you
next. Heh. I only wanted to get onto the first page of post counts. Thought there'd be an all-
you-can-eat buffet at the Cool Kids' Table. Nope. Oh well...

Plus, it helps that I've had just about this entire week off, and not much to do.

I had the weekend off, as well. For some reason.

You need to make the live action IMWANker comic, you know that, right?

Live action IMWANker comic?
You mean splice together shots from the stills and movies you guys posted?
Seriously, what more could I add to that?
