Another stealth release from Wounded Bird. Not listed on the website yet, not available via Amazon until June 24th. Copies can be found, though.



Chase was a Jazz-Rock horn band masterminded by trumpet player extraordinaire Bill Chase. The only issued three albums, all of which made the Billboard charts when originally issued in the early 1970s. Tragically this all came to an end when most of the band, including Bill, was killed in a plane crash in 1974. Their music lives on with these three excellent albums, gathered together here as three albums on two CDs.

I remember seeing those Chase albums back in the day. I was heavy into Chicago and BS&T around that time, so not sure why I didn't get them except that then, as now, I just couldn't afford everything I wanted. I might have to take the plunge this time...
