Okay, they've done the Silver Age Green Arrow (or are about to?) ... we know they'll collect all the BIG heroes, but here are some semi-obscure ideas for future Showcase editions:

Martian Manhunter ~ all the Detective and House Of Mystery stories

Dial H For Hero ~ the Robby Reed era

Creeper ~ Showcase debut, the 6 issues of his own series, the First Issue Special story, the '70s stories from World's Finest, and for good measure the unpublished '70s Showcase story. Should all fit nicely into one book.

Charlton Action Heroes ~ Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, Question, Peacemaker, Judomaster, Thunderbolt

Zatanna ~ collect that whole running storyline where she's trying to find her Daddy. She showed up in Hawkman, JLA, Atom and other places.

Elongated Man ~ all the backup stories from Detective

Atomic Knights ~ all the Strange Adventures stories

What would you like to see DC publish in this format?

Dial H for Hero would be great.

How about Suicide Squad?

Are there enough appearances for The Inferior Five?

A L.E.G.I.O.N. collection including Invasion would be nice, as well.

I'm still waiting on a Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos, a Sub-Mariner from Tales of Suspense, Rawhide Kid, Kid Colt Outlaw, Millie the Model, Patsy & Hedy....

What?

DC?!?!?

....

....nevermind.

Linda - that Zatanna story was reprinted as a regular trade a year or so ago..you cna probably still find it.

Id love to see Showcase reprints of the DC war comics..Sgt Rock, Losers, etc..

Plus some 80s classic..like the Firestorm, or the Suicide Squad (even though i got the originals).

John's right; here's a link to the book at AmazWAN. (They even put the "checkerboard" design on the cover. :) )

I picked my Showcase Presents: Green Arrow last week, but I think it came out a few weeks ago.

I would buy all of those. I wonder if the Creeper one would have enough to make a Showcase presents.

Those would be cool. I'd love to read the original Peter Cannon, Thunderbolt stories.

This has been reprinted many times now. I have at least 2 collections in my house at the moment. I think it may have been reprinted in DC Superstars too.

Quote:
Elongated Man ~ all the backup stories from Detective

Atomic Knights ~ all the Strange Adventures stories

In a heartbeat. And don't forget the backup Elongated Man stories in the Flash as well. He had solo stories before moving to Detective. And a couple of stories paired up with Kid Flash.

Congorilla
Dr. Thirteen
Batgirl
The Atom (since I think DC has overall been ignoring him for awhile)
Deadman
Spectre (At least find SOMEway to get those Neal Adams issues republished)
Metal Men (or is that already in the works?)
Wonder Woman (I'd love to see Bob Kanigher and Ross Andru's work)
Give me time, I'll think of more.

Sgt Rock - For my Dad he loved some Rock stories growing in Bethel, Alaska.

He told that he would have all his comics he bought when was growing but.....

..........turns out comics have a soft paper and growing up in rural Alaska; soft paper is a nessisity!

You could probably fit the Legion's Adventure Comics run in two or 3 phonebooks...

Legion of Super Heroes.

Without colour.

...

The mind boggles. If ever there was a book that needed colour, that is it. If only to tell the players apart.

Not to mention the fact that most civilians in the 30th century (at least in the Silver Age) all dressed like super heroes anyway ;)
