This post is especially for GoogaMooga.

I just purchased a new Live CD called "Long Promised Road : Songs of Dennis abd Carl Wilson Live".

Very, very happy with it. The players are Adam Marsland, Evie Sands,
Kurt Medlin, Alan Boyd (who is in the process of cataloguing Dennis's masters for Brothers music), Teresa Cowles and John Perry.

I was impressed on how they delivered the songs so faithfully and the muscians abilities are impressive, especially in so being a live enviroment.

Strongly recommended for Beach Boy fans!

I believe the disc is still in the car therefore I do not have the ordering website with me at this time. Will post later today.

Hi Rick,

Some of those songs may have been previously unreleased. I have never come across track 19 before, that I'm sure of. My January shopping list just got a bit longer...

I understand, track 13 is also an unreleased Dennis track.

You'll love this disc. By the way, the Brian Wilson disc from Mojo was very enjoyable. Thanks for the tip!

Actually, track 19 What The World Needs Now is A Good Deus Ex Machina is an Adam Marsland original, first recorded on his album You Don't Know Me.

Adam is a Los Angeles local who plays clubs here often. I've seen him countless times.
His love for these songs really shows in the performances. And having Evie Sands in his band is quite something. Her voice is still powerful. It's really a shame that she never reached the heights some of her peers reached.

I've got the Evie Sands album where she rides a bicycle on the cover - light and pleasant folk pop. And of course I recommend the live album. It's nice to see those songs live on with this release - AFAIK a few are previously unreleased in any form.
