Leap Year Day tomorrow! Can someone please explain to me why February 29th is not a national holiday? It's like found time! It only happens once every 4 years - and we are expected to work? Ridiculous I say! It's like asking everyone to work an extra hour on Daylight Savings time. If i was president I would enact a new law - Everyone gets Leap Year Day off - then i would leave office. I'd be a hero.

You know, stupid as it sounds, Leap Year as an official holiday seems like a good idea to me. Another Excuse To Drink holiday ... and since it's only every four years, you're encouraged to get REALLY loaded.

Tomorrow is the day women are allowed to propose marriage.

any other day, they get shot for doing so.

So be on notice!

If you say no, you owe them a gift.

To add insult to injury - Leap Day falls on a Friday this year... perfect three day weekend opportunity squandered!

It's the last Friday of the month, so I get to wear jeans to work tomorrow. Huzzah.

It also used to be Superman's birthday, if I recall correctly. Silver Age fans...?

Ooooh....I seem to recall the same thing.

Fer m'self, I am wearing purple boxers all day, despite meetings with contractors. Oh, and I will begin using ONLY the Aztec calendar tomorrow, as we all have a mere four more years to live. Well, four-and-a-half, if you wanna get technical.

Correct. IIRC, it was chosen by Julie Schwartz as sort of a wink to Superman staying eternally young.

I could be a librarian.

But I'd still have to bum rides off of people.
