Part two comes out next week, it's definitely on the "must buy" list.

There's also a new interview with Yours Truly (vis-a-vis the story) that was posted today at http://www.comicon.com/pulse/.

Picked up my copy this afternoon, I'll get to read it tomorrow at lunch(if I'm lucky).

Uncle Rog, this is terrific so far. As usual I love all your little touches ... Lois addressing pre-romance Clark as just "Kent" ... Barry being Mr Optimism ... Aquaman being played as powerful rather than seaweed.

I got through 3/4s of this issue before I realised that the narrator was J'onn, not you! That's how smooth this read. Your sense of pacing is so good, Roger. It makes the comic seem really "packed". Took about twice as long to read as my other books this week, and it was a pleasure ... these two JLA Classifieds and the Atom from a few months ago have felt like the best value-for-money reads in a long time for me.

Oh, I promised you a critique this time out ~ I dislike whoever that cover artist is. :? Just doesn't have the same feel as the story inside. Please draw the covers yourself from now on! 8-)

Remember when you were a kid and you came across an old issue of Avengers or Justice League of America and you didn't have the issue before it nor the issue after? AND IT DIDN'T MATTER? The book was readable, enjoyable, packed with goodness, and whetted your appetite for more?

That's exactly how it felt reading JLA:C #51. Thanks to my LCS, #50 was sold out (was that an echo?). To their credit, they are trying to get me a copy, but that took nothing away from my enjoyment of #51. In a weird way, maybe it made me enjoy it even more. I was so glad to have my hands on it! I can only hope I get #52...

All that said, loved the art, loved the writing. Great dialogue and spot-on characterizations. A breath of fresh air.

More please.

Another homerun issue, the art and the story are great.

Oh, you really wouldn't want me to draw those covers, Linda!

But I'm glad that you think I'm giving you more bang for your buck.

Cool. That's almost Adamesque. :) I was gonna make some smarmy comment like JLA WHO?!?... but I can't do it.

Great issue Uncle Rog! Maybe you could talk TPTB into a regular stint on the JLA book, please.

Just read part 2 last night! I like that you included the scene where Ollie displays his new look, that was kinda glossed over in the original comics. This story also makes me want to see you on a Barry Allen Flash series! Good Stuff, Roger!

"Di"?

Otherwise, loved it. The Flash angle, especially.
