personally, i'm waiting for "Zaragon" and the later discs
to be released...officially. (an unofficial version of his
3rd disc, "Zaragon" can be found through gemm.com
and, although it's a vinyl-transfer, isn't too bad sounding).

When I was at college at SUNY Albany in the mid-70s, I used to hear "Highfly" by Miles on the local Top 40 radio station. Years later, I was surprised to learn that it only reached #68 on the Billboard Hot 100. That was when there were actually "regional hits" on the radio.

John Miles has appeared as a guest vocalist on at least one Alan Parsons Project album (Stereotomy). He's the lead singer on "Limelight."

Uh, no. That was Gary Brooker of Procol Harum fame.

Miles DID sing lead on the title track and "In The Real World."

Crap -- I knew I was going to pick the wrong song. At least I had the album right!

Thanks for the info, I did not know that. Now when I listen to Stereotomy I'll check out John Miles vocals.

Miles also sang on the following APP album Gaudi. He's the lead on "La Sagrada Familia" and "Money Talks." Around the same time he was the tour keyboardist with Tina Turner.

He also appeared on the very first APP album Tales of Mystery and Imagination singing lead on "(The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether." Parsons then produced his Rebel album on which "Highfly" appears.

No way the last LP was '76; I remember getting the first 2, and then he disappeared for a few years...

I have had the "Rebel" cd as a British import for awhile. This album did pretty well upon its inital release. Excellent production by Alan Parsons.

I've heard varying opinions on the Lemon label. Supposedly some are needle drops.

Does anyone know for sure?
I'm happy with my London CD of Rebel but would definitely be interested in Stranger in the City
