Wow...that was amazing...brilliant animation and voice acting...the plot is like the comic but better...it condenses the death of Supes and really packs an emotional punch.

Killer fight sequences between Supes and Doomsday..and then Supes and...well i wont spoil it.

The slightly different character designs and new voice actors threw me off at first (im used to the Dini/Timm versions) but 10 minutes in I was totally engrossed.

Lots of great emotional moments, lots of surprises, easter eggs and at least 3 "HOLY CRAP" moments...the Luthor one especially really surprised me.

Not for kids though..this flic really earns its PG13 rating..some brutal violence (Supes coughs up blood at one point) and adult situations.

Well worth buying...10/10

PS: The preview for NEW FRONTIER looks out of this world too..that one is going to be even better.

Bruce Timm is one of the writers and directors, as well as a producer. Dini's busy with comics.

I was hoping they would use a different art style. They kept hyping their movies as having the art style of the comics. So far, 0 for 1.

Frank - yep Timm is involved as a writer/director/producer.

Allen - I hear ya - it does not look at all like Jurgens work...its done in the Timm style (which is very nice) but from the New Frontier previews im thinking that particular movie will be much more in line with Cooke's artistic style.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me that they didn't match the comic art in this one. The death of Superman storyline had four different artists working on it. I agree that New Frontier and The Judas Contract will likely be much closer.

Hopefully they won't use the Teen Titans Go style on The Judas Contract, that would be sooooo wrong.

I hope so because a Perezy judas Contract would rock.

An animated Spectre with tales from the Fleischer/Aparo era with Aparo-style characters would rock so hard... too bad it will never happen. I kept waiting for Spectre to show up in JLU and he never did... I forget, does he appear in New Fronteir?

I think the plan is to use a Perez style on Judas Contract...Perez has been working with the animators from what I understand.

It was cool to see Roger Stern, Jurgens, Bogdnanove, and the rest of the gang get a "doomsday created by" credit at the end of the flic.
