I left for Navy boot camp in San Diego. I never realized I could miss home so much shortly after getting there.

I thought it was. Then my company commander confiscated it and put it with my razor from home. We were issued regulation disposable razors that night. It was... like 2am when we arrived on base.

August 26, 1981 is right around my first day of Kindergarten--whichever date was the last Tuesday in August, at any rate. Congrats to Mark on his anniversary, and thanks for keeping the world safe for little kids.
