Thanks Matt. That effect was an extra hour of work so I'm glad you liked them.

Really nice work Derek! I'd love to see you color one of my pieces. Check 'em out at my Drawing Board thread.

Marvel Premiere 35. I loved this comic when I was a kid. Hopefully I will own an original page from it someday.

I too, on occasion, will color other artists. I saw this one over at CAF, contacted Darryl and he was kind enough to send over a 300 dpi jpg to color up. I didn't know it, but Darryl Banks does commissions now over at CAF and what I've seen looks incredible. I highly recommend you art hounds go check out his stuff.

Here is the direct link to Darryl Banks' CAF gallery.

Some pretty awesome commissions there. There's even a couple Dr. Strange commissions that would have Gerry salivating.

That's Darryl Banks? Wow. Great job on the colors, too.

Derek,
Looking good! The two with She-Hulk really rock!

Sorry about the dust-up elsewhere. I never cared if lines were changed or not myself. I was just trying to keep the thread from getting nuked. Glad you have a new coloring home!

Thanks guys. I appreciate the encouragement. Believe me, I'm trying. Breaking through can be difficult and I still have a lot more to learn about color theory and creating consistent environments to place the characters in. My working method continues to become refined and I'm able to do pieces faster.

It looks like my first break for published work will come from Image and their Ringo tribute book. It's still in the preliminary stages and I have not been assigned any work to color yet, but I am on the list as a potential contributor. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed. I think things will become a little easier once I have some work published, but I know I will have to keep pushing.
