This is going to be an interesting fight. I want to see Ash make it to the next round. But Rambo is .. well, Rambo!

There's no way a sane person, for ultimate tough guy, could vote for Ash over Rambo. Rambo , whether you like the character or not (which IMO is not the point of the poll), is practically the poster boy for ultimate tough guy.

-covering himself in mud so he can't be seen than slitting the guy's throat
-sewing himself up after injuries
-in Rambo III, pouring gun powder in the wound and then lighting it to cauterize it-giving a rare double grunt in pain
-the exploding arrowheads
-the super cool knife
-the machine gun rounds wrapped around his body
-rides motorcycles, flies helicopters
-POW rescuer
-breaks free from electrical torture by a commie Ruskie
-hell, in Rambo III, he beats half the Russian army

-and a cool headband

-the snarl
-for better or for worse, he's the poster boy for American tough guyism around the world

Yeah, but like all undead or evil things Rambo's going to lose to Ash. I know that Rambo once cauterized a wound in a cave in the middle east that looked like a fireworks display, but Ash was split in two and survived, not to mention the fact that Ash is too stupid to give up.

Very tough......
However the deciding factor is the mystical stuff Ash has had to deal with. Rambo can beat the Cong, or Soldiers, but I don't think he could stand up to zombie hordes, or that thing in the pit.
Ash has fought ememies from a higher plane of existence, so he should take it.

Rambo would win. If Rambo was cut in two, he'd just grow into two Rambos (or perhaps a Rambo and a Rocky, hard to say), and would then proceed to kick the crap out of everyone.

I'm not sure you can compare the characters from different types of universes.

Rambo to me is the embodiment of a tough guy, Ash to me is a guy I laugh at/with, but don't take seriously.
