I have almost every genre Hammer film ever produced. I was even considering a starting a thread.

I am missing a couple of the Frankenstein films, and then maybe a dozen of the much less well known ones. Like Abominable Snowman, Revenge of She, Hammers Slasher movies, like Paranoiac, Fanatic and others.

Just last nite I got Captain Clegg, (plus 2 Cushing movies that arent Hammer films) The house that dripped blood, and the Hellfire Club.

http://imdb.com/company/co0103101 a list of their output, much of it non-genre.

There are great places to find these classic movies online, and if there is something you are looking for, drop me a PM.

Brides of Dracula is, I think, my fave of all the Hammer flicks.

If only for the ad copy for the trailer

His beloved wife passed away prior to filming, and it showed in this movie. I was surprised how much sex there was in a 1970s movie. Quite a show...

I have three Cushing movies that aren't Hammer films: Dr. Who & The Daleks, Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 AD, and, um, Star Wars.

I love Hammer movies, although I've never managed to see Abominable Snowman. My favourite is probably Frankenstein Must be Destroyed.

The first time I saw a naked woman was when, as a kid, I saw Ingrid Pitt chasing another blonde nymphette around a bed in The Vampire Lovers. It was on the telly late at night, and I wasn't supposed to be up that late, but there was a party or something, and I vividly recall that moment.

Kate Bush wrote a song about Hammer movies, as well.

Huge Hammer fan here.

I've got about 31 of their genre films on DVD so far, still have a ways to go. Hopefully, there'll be some re-issues in the future, because some of the films are fetching a pretty penny on the secondary markets.

I'll second Gerry's recommendation of Little Shoppe of Horrors, fantastic mag. I'm really looking forward to the next issue devoted to Terence Fisher. I haven't read a lot about the man, so this should be very interesting.

So what do you guys think of the recent purchase of Hammer and the supposed return to production?

Well, if they could revive even a fraction of that magic, I think it'd be a very good thing. I don't know that they'd get away with some of the stuff they used to back in the 'olden days' now, but that's a revival I'd like to see happen.
