Short and sharp, Monk! Liked it muchly. Especially the reference to a history between Cain and Dotty. Give me a couple of days, and I should have something. Though I kind of hope someone else jumps in first - just because it's so much fun reading other people's stuff!

I agree, that was a great. Feels like whole layers were just added to Cain, and a whole history was just created, all with just a few lines. Nice work.

Thanks guys! I'm coming to realize that I'm not much for, you know, moving the plot forward (and you guys are handling that quite well), so I'm happy just adding character bits and backstory whenever possible.

Steven has the latest entry in the first Round Robin and it's quite good. Someone needs to follow it (hint, hint).

Also, Chris started a new Round Robin. Great opening. Feel free to post any comments or questions about it here.

Went back to reread the last few Wages of Sin segments to get myself back up to speed. Simon, your last entry was great. Some excellent turns of phrase. Monk's character moment came at the perfect place, and Steven did a nice job giving the narrative a new turn. I tried to play off that and get us moving into the next act.

I'm going to need to make a chart for myself to keep all this people and ties and whatnot straight!

I like the opening of the new RR a lot. That's great stuff, Chris. Excellent scene-setting. I look forward to seeing that one unfold.

Not really pleased with my latest entry. For some reason, it didn't click with me the way others had. They felt very natural, but this one took work. Hmmm.

It worked for me. The supernatural element might throw some folks, but it's been hinted at since the first entry.

Yeah, it seemed to me that you were hinting at it early on. I felt as if there had been some degree of dancing around that for a bit, but it has been in the back of my mind the whole time. I think we've all worked out with our noir muscles to a good degree (and will continue to do so), but it was time to let that other shoe drop and see where it takes us.

The supernatural reveal was quite unexpected! But now it gets interesting...

I've done some comic "jams" before, and I tend to have the same approach: find something in the previous parts not followd up on (Cain needing rest), try to go somewhere with it, and leave it with a cliffhanger. I was wondering if someone would treat the "barrel of the gun" literally or figuratively.

Added a bit to "Wages" tonight. Forgot how much fun this was.

I'll be jumping into Chris' Round Robin tomorrow night.

Added to Chris' Round Robin. Felt a bit weird jumping right into a flashback, but hopefully it works.

Works quite well in fact. Looking forward to seeing more people contribute and seeing where this goes.

I seem to have killed both Round Robins dead. A little help?

What happened? Was my adding a second round robin the killing blow here?

I think it was just a timing thing. Taft mentioned that he's in a bit of a slump, and I'm sort of in the same place (I tend to go from writing to doing comics to drawing and then back again). Hopefully it'll pick up again.

What Monk said. Two prolific people hit a slump at the same time. I hope to pull out of it soon (I've been doing a lot of music of late), and I'm sure Monk does, too.

Good to have you, Dave. Well, I'm not completely happy with my latest entry. But I felt like getting back into it, so there it is!

I love the idea of someone that Cain truly fears, but I'm totally thrown by the name. It fits, but it's going to take some getting used to.

Nice job, though, Simon. I sort of wrote it into a corner, but you've moved Cain out of that nicely.
