I'll get this if they keep the price below $50 CDN, simply to have the rarities disc (I have all those albums on vinyl and CD). I likely have all the tracks on it but it would be nice to have them collected in one disc.

He released an album in 2021, and I assume he's always working on new music, but I guess the muse may be gone. I watched a documentary about him around a decade ago and it had a very sad scene where he was talking on the phone with, likely his manager, I am thinking? I can't recall who (and we only got Lindsay's side of the call) but the gist of it was that Lindsay was shopping around his new album because he was between recording contracts and he discovered that there was no company besides Warner/Reprise that was showing any interest, and even that was likely as a courtesy to him for the millions he'd made for the company over the decades with Mac and solo. He was hoping for a bidding war but he was down to one company. I am sure the offer was pretty low. Buckingham was understandably upset, taken by surprise at the lack of interest and you could tell it was a blow to his ego. While he may have the muse, Warner's may have no interest in releasing it. A catalogue release like this has far more to do with the record company than with the artist. They are betting they can make more selling 30-40 year old albums than dealing with trying to promote new material from a 74 year old artist. And I think they're right. And while Lindsay could just release it himself, his experience is having the prestige of a big contract and promotion. The market has changed and he may just not see it. Or want to see it. He was a superstar in the excessive '70s and '80s. He's not Taylor Swift or in a K-pop group, he's not going to get the same treatment now.
Just another way of looking at these situations. It's not always as cut and dried as "they just don't have it anymore".

It probably doesn't help that every time he appears on the "What's Up With That?" talk show, they always run out of time before getting to him. Pretty insulting to a legend like Lindsey.

True, I had pushed Diondre Cole's disgraceful treatment of Buckingham out of my mind. Diondre nails that theme song, though!
