Have you ever gone to the movie theater to see a film and you couldn't sit through it to the end? Do you remember which film(s) that you walked out on?
I consider this much more severe than changing the TV channel or pressing the "STOP" button on the videoplayer. You go to a lot of inconvenience by getting dressed, driving to the theater, standing in line, paying outrageous amounts of money for snacks, etc. I figure something really has to cause you to say "Screw it! I can't take this anymore!".
I've only walked out of two movies in my life (technically only one, but I'll mention the second). I got up after 30-minutes or so and walked out on Francis Ford Coppola's DRACULA (1992). Not because it was bad, but because I was feeling faint. Slow torture and pain gets to me. I begin smelling rubbing alcohol (where none is present) and my skin gets ice cold and clammy.
The other movie was during a "Bad Film Festival" at the local university. There were a total of five movies scheduled, but the titles were not revealed. Admission was completely free .... with a catch! If you left during the first movie you had to pay $10 to get out. Second movie was $8. I sat through stuff I loved and tolerated: PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE, TERROR OF TINY TOWN, EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS. The final movie was the 1970s remake of LOST HORIZON. I hadn't seen it before, but I loved the original and I'm not fond all-star casts so as soon as the credits began I got up and paid $2 to leave.

I walked out of Natural Born Killers and into a theatre showing Forrest Gump. Do not regret it in the least...

This is the worst part and now it's passed so I can unclinch my teeth" only to be hit with more lunacy all the way to the end. In retrospect, I should have gotten up when Sulu and Chekov were blowing into their communicator at Yellowstone Park to simulate a blizzard. Definitely by the time the three leads sang Row, Row, Row Your Boat! What about when Uhura did a striptease?

I walked out of ULTRAVIOLET after about 20 minutes. On a related note, I fell asleep about a 1/2 hour into VAMPIRE IN BROOKLYN when I saw it in theaters, woke up after about ten minutes and left. I rented it later and fell asleep at about the same point.

I seem to always have made an informed choice, and avoided going into any flick I would end up hating so much, I just had to get out of there. However, I seem to recall a date "forcing" me into a movie starring the Fat Boys called "Disorderlies". It was so bad, we got the hell out of there after a painful 30 minutes or so. I slept thru a few animated atrocities that my daughter wanted to see when she was young, but I didn't walk out.

I have never left a movie either.
Fell asleep in a couple, but I find something about the dark theatres threatens to put me to sleep whether I like the movie or not!

I have never walked out of a movie in my life, and I have no respect for anyone who has.

I have only walked out of one movie - The John Frankenheimer version of The Island of Dr. Moreau.
Brando in whiteface, wearing a mu-mu, Val Kilmer wandering around stoned, CGI that was bad even though it was cutting-edge for its time, and some of the worst acting I've ever seen.
I pulled the pin after the 'hero' fails to steal a boat and leave the Island when he's confronted by rat/human hybrids about a foot tall. Ye Gods.

I can say I've never walked out of a movie. I'm picky on what I see.
But I have turned off a DVD, less picky with those.

I walked out of Memoirs of a Geisha and a really bad Estonian independent film.
I think that's pretty much it.

I walked out of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. Still don't get why so many people love that movie. I thought it was pretty wretched, myself.

Never walked out of a movie, never fell asleep.
I enjoy 90-95% of the movies I see, at least to some extent. I cut out things I wouldn't like.
I almost never stop a dvd either (only exception I can think of is Matrix 2).
Some of the movies you guys walked out of I liked (in the theater anyway) -300, Funny Farm, BRam Stoker's Dracula. Star Trek V.
The one movie I felt like walking out of was The Cell. My friend wanted to see it and I didn't but he won. We went on a double date. It was so terrible, I wanted to leave, my wife wanted to leave. But we felt we couldn't. Afterwards, my friend had said they wanted to leave but felt like they couldn't because of us.

I see a whole lot of movies in the theaters. The closest I've come to walking out on a movie was XXX: State of the Union, the sort-of sequel with Ice Cube. I thought it was not only bad but downright offensive.
The only time I remember falling asleep was during Out of Africa--can you blame me?

What? You mean you missed the attack of the giant pygmies that took place during the exciting climax of the movie? They set it up for a sequel, too - Back into Africa - but it was never produced.
