The last surviving classic Universal monster actor by quite a wide margin.
I knew that he was involved with "Flipper" (Which I loved as a kid in reruns, BTW). Didn't know he was also involved in "Thunderball," "Sea Hunt," and the Weeki Wachee underwater shows. Wonder if that means that he helped train the famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids? I guess it goes to show that the world of undersea performers was a rather small one. There was a lot of interest in underwater adventures in the 1950s and 1960s, and even some into the 1970s when I was growing up. It always kind of fascinated me.
