Description
This Super Deluxe Edition of The Beatles' REVOLVER features a new mix by Giles Martin and Sam Okell, plus the original mono mix, a 4-track EP, 28 session takes and home demos, a 100-page book with a foreword by Paul McCartney, an essay by Questlove, detailed track notes, photos and ephemera including handwritten lyrics, tape boxes and extracts from Klaus Voormann's graphic novel on the making of the cover art. On 5 CDs in a 12.56" x 12.36" slipcase. Also includes a downloable Digital Audio Collection (stereo & hi res 96kHz/24-bit stereo + mono + Dolby Atmos).

Saving the best for last (or at least my favorite)...with no disrespect to Rubber Soul I just wonder at that stage they had enough time in the studio to gather enough extras to validate a huge box (I was thinking that they may combine RS - Revolver). My (idiotic) rambling aside, this is excellent news if it comes true.

Yes, most likely and he has done a fine job on previous projects but he is no Steven Wilson!!

Steven is truly a wunderkind in bringing out the depth, clarity and sparkle in his remasters...

Totally agree. One is good... both would be GREAT!! Revolver and Rubber Soul have always been my 2 favorite Beatles albums. Since I could never decide which to listen to, this has been my go-to comp for years.

We now have a provisional tracklist in the first post, only for the five CDs. There should also be a Blu-ray in the super deluxe version.

It's just one EP -- and I'm very glad it's a CD, not vinyl -- which WAN assumes will have the original single cover art.

If they'd included "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" on the other CDs along with the main album, then I would have programmed them into the middle of the album and Larry would have yelled at me again.

Mind you, if they're included on the Blu-ray then I will play them as part of Revolver. :ohyes:

Good morning, everyWAN! USA pre-order links are now in the first post, including an Amazon exclusive vinyl edition which comes with a custom turntable mat. The release date for all formats will be October 28th.
