I'm a fan of this guy's music...I may check these out, even though I already have these albums.

Long time fan ever since I saw him on the Mike Douglas Show in the mid '70s. Probably have 25 or so of his LPs. Engimatic Ocean, Cosmic Messenger, Live, Mystical Adventures are always on regular rotation here at DFT Central, along with a two-show live recording from the Tower Theater in 1978, courtesy of the vast internet. Always superb players through his bands over the years: Allan Zavod, Steve Smith, Mark Craney, Randy Jackson, Scott Henderson, Rayford Griffin, Daryl Steurmer, Tom Fowler, Patrice Rushen, Baron Browne, Damien Schmitt.

Great clips of JLP bands from the '70s:

Later clip shows Steve Smith just before he joined Journey, and Steurmer just before Genesis; and the great Ralph Armstrong on bass.
