I picked up the 2 months of Marvel that were waiting for me at the post office.... a great combination of excitement and memories here...

* X-Men vs. Arcade
* Black Widow vs. Bullseye (with Miller art in Daredevil)
* The first two appearances of The Black Cat (I remember these as awesome)
* Spidey caught between The Lizard and another lizard-man hybrid (I'm a sucker for giant lizards)
* Thor vs. The Eternals
* More Michelie/Romita Jr. Iron Man
* More Woflman FF (building up to the big Sphinx vs. Galactus battle)
* Captain Marvel starting in Marvel Spotlight
* Falcon starting in Marvel Premier
* Plus the B and team-up titles

This finishes August, 1979. I've got a head-start on Sept (Avengers, Defenders, both team-up books, Daredevil and X-Men) so finishing Sept should be cheap. I'm officially on-schedule, just 25 years behind the times. LOL

You're filling in the books you missed the first time around?

Nah... I didn't keep 'em the first time around. I'm not much of a packrat.

I'm buying the comics from my childhood over again (starting coverdate April, 1979 - I was eight years old) and having them bound into hardcover volumes. My sexy room-mate Rita is picking up my third such book today :-)

That sounds fun. And, I must say, I'm still intrigued by this book binding.

If I still had a digital camera, I'd show you what mine looked like.

I guess you're just gonna have to draw them. Kirby style!

I hope Trevor has kept at it. That was a bit of a rush, seeing those covers in the first post. I own two of those.

oooo - I've been collecting the odd bit of 70's funnybook fun lately. Spider-Woman #1. The issue of Ms Marvel with the first appearance of her black costume. the FF issue with
Spoiler: show
and alternate Earth Johnny Storm as a hockey-themed villian
.

Good stuff :thumbsup:
