Love his stuff, although I'm not crazy about that Superman in the first post. Odd looking smile. Everything else I've ever seen from him is amazing.

Interesting to compare to his style now to when he first started gaining popularity as a fan artist.

He first got noticed with these family portraits, if memory serves... kinda hard to find them now at a good size.

His style is still whimsical in that Silver Age way, but more "realistic" these days. It's a great combination.

Yeah, that's what I liked as well -- it's modern but has retro sensibilities without being a knock-off or overly referenced. It's got that same magic as Darwyn Cooke.

I think Gerry finally got a refund from him or something. It's all good now, I believe.

That's good. I never knew the finish of that drama.

I just checked and Gerry said he did get the stuff Shaner promised, so at least it's done. A real shame he never got the commission and it took so long to resolve.

Enjoy the art from afar, but maybe don't commission him, LOL.

If Gerry had just learned the wise lesson that Michael Golden laid down on him, none of this would have been worrisome.
