I'm looking forward to the later boxes covering her experimental mid- to late-'70s material, my favorite phase of her career. I hope she doesn't take as long as Paul McCartney has with his archives series!
It's hard not to compare this Archives series to fellow Canuck Neil Young. However, I'm sure Joni will keep to a well-planned timetable.

that is what i want too, kym......he voice change (most likely due to cigarettes) made me like her so much more.
the early stuff is lyrically sublime, and the tunings and playing are wonderful, but after about a half hour of that voice...........fingernails on a chalkboard for me, much like alison krauss

I confess that I agree! I would like Blue a lot more if she sang it in her lower, huskier voice.

I love Joni's voice from the early years. Doesn't sound like fingernails on a chalkboard at all to me. Love Alison Krause's voice, too. Agree to disagree.

As of this moment, the UK link - while live - indicates that this set cannot be shipped to the US. I wonder if this is one of those on-again, off-again messages that have plagued Amazon UK in recent months or whether they're really unable to fill trans-Atlantic orders any more?

The US link will activate soon enough. Patience, my friend.

To everything there is a season.
No... I'm not concerned about waiting to order at all. The set isn't due for another seven weeks in any case. My post was about Amazon UK being unable or unwilling - temporarily as it turned out - to ship the the US. It is often less expensive ordering from them than from Amazon US, given the VAT reduction, and I intend to wait and see who has the best price. Maybe you are in a position to have so much money that this is not a concern, but not everyone has that privilege.

You can already order it from the UK, Spiderboy -- look at my post right above yours.
The randomised "cannot be shipped to your location" at Amazon UK is them attempting to manage shipment volumes under pandemic conditions. Everything will be back to normal, with everything orderable from everywhere, sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

The posted US price is lower, so I assumed you were just anxious to get an order placed. I should not have assumed. My apologies.

No harm done, Greg - I always like to "comparison shop". I'm afraid t's a well ingrained habit that I'm not likely to ever leave behind. In this particular case it's hard to know where things are headed, as Amazon is basically charging the full list price (same as on the Rhino website) at this time. They'll likely all offer some sort of discount eventually - at least I hope so - and only then will we know who's got the best deal.
