Mark called it back in 2018. This was just announced with a release date of August 21st, 2020. I've updated the title to reflect this, and I've also added some pre-order details to the opening post.

Available on CD elsewhere, but the b-side "Who Put This Together" and the Japanese bonus track cover of Discharge's "Protest And Survive" are absent here.
Given the limited budget of a reissue project, I assume the former was omitted because of sample clearances and the latter omitted because of publishing.

I have that Aftershock The Island Years set. It's not bad but the sound is iffy. The kick drum is right in your face and ruins the songs. It's like that on all the discs. The recent remasters sound way better than that Aftershock set.

Persistence was the first Anthrax album that I ever bought, and quite honestly, my least favorite. The songs themselves were fine, but the sound quality was just eh. Sounded like it was recorded in a barrel.

I've really moved away from buying any reissues at this point unless the bonus material really does it for me. Unfortunately, the bonus material on this doesn't catch my interest so I won't be buying. But I do think this is a great album. Would rank it #2 on the list of Anthrax albums behind only Among the Living.
