Hello and welcome to MONKEY FRIDAY at IMWAN! I see we have a few new recruits as well as many returning agents here at the Agency to Prevent Evil. A very special welcome to our outstanding agent of last Friday , Todd Hembrough, who saved our sorry red butts by breaking the code without a single clue being given! Take a bow, Todd!

Allow me to recap our predicament for those experiencing MONKEY FRIDAY for the first time.

I'm Lancelot's uncle, WANcelot Link, here to explain your assignment. A.P.E. is fighting an evil organization of primates called C.H.U.M.P. (Criminal Headquarters for Underworld Master Plan) ! It seems C.H.U.M.P. has tossed a monkey wrench into IMWAN's programming code. The glitch is in the form of a hidden secret word. To find this secret word you will need to concentrate on monkey association! This includes baboons, gorillas, orangutans, chimpanezees, spider monkeys, and other assorted simians. You must think monkey thoughts if you are to successfully thwart C.H.U.M.P. !

You will find the secret word by submitting posts to any section at IMWAN. After you enter your message, go read through it. If you used the secret word anywhere within the text you will see a color "banana". Once you find the secret word and can reference the monkey association, immediately post your discovery to the current MONKEY FRIDAY thread in order to claim the royal Monkey Crown. Use spaces or asterisks between letters of the secret word when you post it to this thread. I will verify the authenticity of the secret word and hand you a jewelled Monkey Crown for the week as your reward.

Check this message page throughout Friday for clues gathered by our field agents. C.H.U.M.P. conspirators have loose lips that may help lead you to victory and put a stop to their monkeyshines. If the secret word is not discovered on Friday, check back here on Saturday for more clues.

Once the secret word is revealed, everyone feel free to work it into various posts throughout the week to see your own colored banana and to show that evil forces never win!

C.H.U.M.P. is a persistent bunch of damn, dirty apes so I'm sure there will be a new secret word every Friday. That's all you need to know for right now. It's time to get down to monkey business!

I certainly hope C.H.U.M.P. hasn't licked us this time around.
