I mean, at least it’s his kid instead of Courtney Love again.
You're right...but Love will be getting some of the money from this business venture. She'd be profiting in some manner, no doubt. It's also the fact that they're using his first name; if Frances was serious she'd use her own name and the attendant publicity about who her Dad was would 'trickle down' into brand recognition. Overtly using his first name just seems like a pure Courtney Love move (as in shamelessly exploitative and transparently obvious).
I'm not even a Nirvana fan and never have been, but I've always disliked Courtney Love. She bothers me. Usually I don't care about celebrity's lives. I either like their music or I don't; the minutia of their lives doesn't intrigue me. She just always seemed...evil? Is that too strong a word? Unlike Yoko Ono - whom I honestly believe loved John Lennon in her own mad way - or Paula Yates (who was a shameless groupie of many years standing but who really seemed to be in love with Michael Hutchence), Courtney Love has always seemed ethically repulsive to me. It's weird because I never cared for Kurt Cobain's music at all but she seems to me to be a very cold, calculating figure and I've always disliked her.
