A new Rolling Stones compilation is on the horizon. Preliminary details are in the first post, and the pre-order links will all be active soon.

[LP2] Side C: Rock And A Hard Place / Doom And Gloom / Love Is Strong / Mixed Emotions / Don't Stop / Ride 'Em On Down Side D: Bitch / Harlem Shuffle / Hate To See You Go / Rough Justice / Happy / Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) / One More Shot
[LP3] Side E: Respectable / You Got Me Rocking / Rain Fall Down / Dancing With Mr D / Undercover (Of The Night) / Emotional Rescue Side F: Waiting On A Friend / Saint Of Me / Out Of Control / Streets Of Love / Out Of Tears
[LP4: Live] Side A: Get Off Of My Cloud / Dancing With Mr D / Beast Of Burden (with Ed Sheeran) / She's A Rainbow / Wild Horses (with Florence Welch) Side B: Let's Spend The Night Together / Dead Flowers (with Brad Paisley) / Shine A Light / Under My Thumb / Bitch (with Dave Grohl)

The tracklist for the 3CD set turned out to be exactly what Linda thought it would be. We also now have a tracklist for the 1CD distillation:
1. Start Me Up 2. Brown Sugar 3. Miss You 4. Tumbling Dice 5. Just Your Fool 6. Fool To Cry 7. Angie 8. Beast Of Burden 9. It's Only Rock 'N' Roll (But I Like It) 10. Doom And Gloom 11. Love Is Strong 12. Mixed Emotions 13. Don't Stop 14. Harlem Shuffle 15. Happy 16. Rain Fall Down 17. Undercover (Of The Night) 18. Emotional Rescue 19. Saint Of Me 20. Wild Horses (with Florence Welch)

Er...is there a particular underlying theme to this compilation, other that everything appears to be post-Brian Jones?
Looks like the theme is "stuff we don't have to license from Allen Klein." LOL!!
Bingo! No ABKCO deal this time, apparently.

I think I've lost count on all the greatest hits comps I have on the Stones (you still cannot beat Hot Rocks though). I did end up getting the large lp size special edition GRRR when it was heavily discounted a year after its release (have the original CD version too).
Anyone remember 40 Licks?

40 Licks is probably my favorite of the career-spanning comps.

That’s when I got the deluxe GRRR too.
I still love 40 Licks as a comp. Better than GRRR...

Here's the live track with Florence Welch which appears on CD3 of the Deluxe Edition:
I remember when video footage of that performance made the rounds last year. Jagger really seems to enjoy having Welch share the stage... here they are several years prior recasting "Gimme Shelter".
