Keeping the polls going...

Now it's Wonder Woman's turn.

Again 3 options

Other than the Perez run, I think the only time I ever bought Wonder Woman was during the DC Implosion
or there abouts when Huntress was a backup feature. And I like when she was pretending to be Emma Peel,
but only have about two of those issues from the 1970s.

Voted for ... none. The only Wonder Woman I ever really liked was the JLA version by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky.

Perez, Rucka, and O'Neil, in that order. The first two are far and away my favorite.

The only one I've read is the Perez run, but I thought it was excellent.

It was a Brian Bolland cover that got me to buy a statue, though:

I liked what I've read of the Perez and Azzarello runs. Jose Delbo drew most of the issues I remember reading as a kid, so that's what the character looks like when I think of her.

One day I'll read the Marston stuff.

I haven't read a lot of Wonder Woman either. I've read some of the early Moulton stories. They could sometimes have kind of a...creepy vibe.

My mother recalls liking Wonder Woman when she was a girl. She doesn't remember a whole lot about it. She would have read stories published back in the early to mid-fifties.

I liked those Wonder "Girl" and Wonder Tot stories, too. Seemed popular in the early 1970s.

In retrospect, before the Perez version, I knew her mostly from Super Friends and the live-action TV show. I read a few issues of her comic, but mostly it was appearances in Justice League of America that I was exposed to her. I used to get those DC Blue Ribbon Digests because I loved Silver Age reprints, but she never got one. Weird to think that Metal Men and Doom Patrol each got one and Wonder Woman didn't. I think the only female lead superhero that did was Supergirl.

I am trying to get through the Perez run now. I didn't realize Len Wein was the scripter. Ouch.

OUCH

Wein was busy writing Alan Moore's comics for him, trying to give him a career.

That's teh real reason Moore doesn't want his name on all of his best comic book works and films based upon themthe

This statement angers me because I like Alan Moore but dislike Len Wein.

Really? I don't think he's a master of scripting great dialogue, but I think he's good enough, especially for the era. Body and soul, sugah.

I'm not sure. My re-reading has slowed down a bit. He didn't script the first two.
