For the first time in I don't know how long there are more LPs than CDs on the upcoming pre-order music releases on the JB HiFi website in Australia

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/music/Whats-H ... er-Titles/

I'm stunned that a retailer believes that vinyl will sell more than CDs now!

I have not willingly purchased a vinyl LP since the mid/late 1980s
This is setting off alarm bells for me.

relax....i truly believe that the record companies are perpetrating the so-called vinyl resurgence.

they can sell a vinyl record for $20 - $30 vs. a CD for $10 - $15...and they claim "limited" on all the vinyl and inyl junkies all run out to buy them to play on their $50 turntables they buy at target.

every new release, every week, comes out on CD, not every one comes out on vinyl....that should tell you something.

Remember when cd's cost twice as much as vinyl? These labels are a bunch of greedy pigs.

They know their business model has a limited lifespan. The young 'uns are into their downloads, so it's a case of making money while they still can for these companies.
