This has been getting some hype in the metal community but is turning out to me much bigger than anticipated. No real explanation needed as the title pretty much says what it's all about.

Just gave some of the tracks a go; thought it would be a death metal take on DSOTM? It wasn't bad but the title is misleading?

Death metal and doom metal are not the same thing. I would consider the doom metal component in Doom Side of the Moon to be pretty lite, but not a crazy stretch to call this doom metal.

The proto-typical doom metal band is Candlemass.
