He should have quit around 1978. With rare exception (VERY rare) that's when I quit him.

He waa writing for another originals album and had done at least one Christmas song..so I was not expecting this at all.

Personally, I thought his 1988 Out Of Order and 1991 Vagabond Heart albums were pretty good for the most part. Of course I think most people measure everything he does against Every Picture tells A Story. Other than these 3 albums I mentioned I am not crazy about anything he has done. One surprise, I really like the song Love Touch, which most fans and Rod himself detest.

i wonder how he does at caesars palace.......sell out?
tickets go from $44 - $250.....
i'm not trying to be funny when i say i don;t think i would pay $2.50 to see rod stewart at this point in his career.

Me either. In fact the only time that I did see Rod was back in 1993 when I won tickets from a radio contest.

Rod was here this summer with Cyndi Lauper and they were giving tickets away.
I still wasn't interested.
last album I liked was Out of Order in 1988 and even that wasn't great.

I've seen Rod twice at Caesars Palace (including last week) and once at the UNLV arena before his residency.
Always an energetic and fun show. Quite funny, too.
I have no interest in the upcoming record (if the guests are the caliber of DNCE), but I liked his 2013 album, TIME, quite a bit.
