I'm pretty satisfied with the 5-disc set I picked up a couple of years ago...  Unless the remastering is particularly revelatory, I'll probably pass. But 7 discs for $25 is still a great value.

But the completist in me is pretty interested.

Yeah, the UK price even w/mailing is the best deal therefore the pre-order for that one. Excellent price for the re-mastered set which will fill many holes in my Dr. John collection.

Gumbo and Right Place are my two favorites of his. This also contains the cd that Mick Jagger guests on...have that on vinyl...not cd. I am in.

I pre-ordered this last night and immediately got a link to download the albums. I'm guessing that my downloads are the previous versions of these and not these upcoming versions?

Anyone order this from Amazon UK to a US address? I did, and it was shipped, but I'm still waiting for it to arrive, though the tracking page says it should have been here Sept. 28. (No real tracking since it is coming by Asendia.)

Have had major delays or worse with a number of Amazon UK packages over the last year. Have had another one that shipped in late August apparently go into the ether. I now cringe whenever they send one without tracking.

I guess I'll wait a little longer and then inform Amazon UK that it never arrived, if that's the case. At least this isn't a limited edition as far as I know.
