These are all albums that have no actual title and were usually referred to by the label as self-titled albums, when in actuality they had no title.

However, fans came up with titles themselves often based on wording or images on the cover.

Here are ones I could think off off the top of my head.

This does not apply to properly self-titled albums like "Genesis" or "Metallica", I'm only talking about albums with no title.

Also, not including albums with the title "Untitled" like The Byrds album.

And, I'm not talking about an album with a title but the title doesn't appear like "In the Court of the Crimson King."

Just simply, an album with no title.

This won't be easy, but I know there are at least a few more.

Prince's The Black Album. Not only officially untitled, from what I gather it was intended to be somewhat anomymous in regards to the artist as Prince wasn't printed on it anywhere either.

I can't remember the story behind the second Stone Temple Pilot's album. Became known as Purple later because of the Japanese character on the cover, but wasn't that one actually untitled as well?

Korn put out an album that was untitled in 2007.

I recall the three Peter Gabriel albums showing as "rainy car", "scratchy face", and "melty face" on the re-order sheets when I worked at Music Plus.

TBH, I'm not sure. I think the EP was untitled, but I'm not sure about the more recent one, although it's often referred to as QR13 (release year).

Almost all of Weezer's albums have no title but are named after the album color.

David Bowie's second album has gone by "David Bowie" and "Man of Words / Man of Music" and "Space Oddity"

Metallica's "Metallica" is far more often called "The Black Album" by fans.

This was supposed to be an untitled EP but a lot of people refer to it as Antares Mira Sun because of the diagram labels.

I'm not sure if The Band's 2nd album (the brown album) or the Jeff Beck Group's "orange album" count for this thread.........they're the same category at The Beatles "white album."

It's official title is The Beatles. The initial pressings of the album had it embossed onto the cover, while later pressings had it stamped, then printed on.
