i'll tell you this, the quicken loans arena (cavs home court) in cleveland sears 20,000+ and very few acts book there anymore. only the really big ones (bon jovi, red hot chili peppers, neil diamond tom petty, bruno mars, coldplay, lady gaga and roger waters) are booked right now. i just ca;t see this show selling 20,000 tix, no way, no how, unless it is going to be really really cheap.....or....there is osmething they are not telling the public yet.

Hall & Oates did sell out MSG last year.

I saw Hall & Oates at the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium back in 1983. Time flies.

Wayyyyyy too big?

No.

They will do just fine in these venues.

Don't see a ton of sellouts, but it wouldn't have been booked otherwise.

I'm just baffled Hall & Oates won't be playing here in Philly...their hometown!

Shame they are not playing Jones Beach, perfect setting for these two acts.

Wouldn't be surprised if a curtain gets erected in most of these arenas that downsizes them to a half arena. Pretty common practice when an act (or acts, in this case) fails to sell enough tickets.

really, sold out?

in cleveland tears for fears played a 2200 seat rocksino (casino w/racing) and didn't sell out. and hall & oates played a 2600 seat arena in akron, don;t know if they sold out or not.

quicken loans holds 20,000+ for cavs games, so figure another 2000 - 3000 on the floor.

impossible.

tears for fears last top 40 was 'break it down again" #25 in 1993

and hall & oates last top 40 was 'so close #11 in 199045

and like i said above

TFF last album was - everybody loves a happy ending - #45 in 2004

H&O last album - our kind of soul - #69 also in 2004

unless it is really really cheap, really cheap :)

so, good seats will not be cheap.

Having a Groupon did help sell the Hall & Oates show at The Garden a year ago but of course here in NY they are playing the much smaller Forest Hills Stadium.
NJ's Prudential Arena is pretty large.

Honestly, what casual fan would buy their new material or even want to hear it?

Who cares about when their last hits were?

It's the enormous catalogue both of them have that people want to hear.

Tears For Fears played the iHeart Festival last year before a sold-out crowd in a massive arena with lots of young people there to hear today's artists but they went down fantastic.

I'd say it's pretty decent size, not sure of capacity.

It's a beautiful venue right by the Delaware River.

This date was added on; not sure if other dates were too.

This is what it looks like...

interesting, not a huge arena like the first dates announced.

this is more of what i would expect from this tour.........4000 - 10,000 max

Looks like a standing room only event. I believe it's an all day event, wear comfortable shoes!

I'm never comfortable due to the nerve pain, but I'll be standing alright!

As for capacity Renny, I'd say it's in that 5,000-8,000 range which I agree makes more sense than big arenas.

i will not be the least bit surprised if a lot of these shows get moved to smaller venues as the dates near.

I have front row center tix for the show in Cincinnati, for a venue I agree is way too huge for these bands. I"ve always wanted to see Tears for Fears and just hope the show doesn't cancel...

i doubt they will cancel, too much planning already put into it. as i said above though, i expect quite a few shows to move to smaller venues.

i looked at ticket sales in cleveland and there are a ton of good seats left....too much money for 2 older bands with nothing new to offer.

casinos would die for either of them to do a 90 minute set and get those gamblers back out on the floor.

Hall & Oates "She's Gone" high as a kite and not giving one damn. Man can Daryl sing! One of the greatest songs ever and one of the worst videos ever! Never shown to the public. You be the judge.
