This is on my radar. I'd love to see similar for Magician's Birthday & Demon's & Wizards.
Is it UK only?
I have a Japanese release of Demon's and it's killer. It never sounded better..... and this is from around 8 years ago, so I'm betting a current Demon's remaster would be very good.

The UK remasters from the early 2000's with loads of bonus cuts are excellent with no sound problems.
These 2 CD Deluxe Editions are going to sort of mirror the Led Zep remasters in presenting "alternate versions" of each album, but there will be b-sides and full tracks other than the album cuts in alternate form.
I'm surprised there were no comments about the debut Uriah Heep album which comes first.
All the classic albums through 1991 are expected to be covered.

I was impressed with the remastering on this one. So much so that I did a short review.
Just read it Mark. I kick myself in the ass for not getting this initially when my indie had it. I have the Castle as well so your review has encouraged me to get the Deluxe.

I own that one also. No memory on the mastering. It appears to be worth a small fortune at the moment; I didn't know it had gone oop.
Many of the "Deluxe" versions have gone up. Amazing how many times I had seen the Heep disc and passed. It will show up again and knowing what Mark has said I will keep this in mine for the next opt.

I don't know how they could improve on the mastering of Live 1973 that I own, but since that copy is pricey, then I would wait for the Heepsters to get that one remastered.

I bought it for the extra tracks; which is probably why I don't remember the mastering.
I'm supposed to get my broken main cd transport back tomorrow; assuming the repair was successful (long story; it apparently needed a part & they chose to recondition the bad part out of laziness), & will try to remember to play a bit of the 2 disc Heep Live; as my curiosity is aroused.

It's getting the Deluxe treatment again as are all the albums up to 1991.
Don't shell out big bucks for the old remaster now.

Pete, Any different tracks (Live 1973 2 disc vs 2 disc)?
The whole second disc is unreleased live material Geff.
Oh My. Guess I'll be owning two 2 cd versions of this one! Wish they would release just the new tracks on 1 cd for those of us who bought the previous one.

You will be surprised how cheap a good quality 2nd hand CD player is. I found some amazing deals on eBay. An original Sony CD player from the late 1980s that sounds amazing for $20 and a Yamaha natural sound CD player that weighs a tonne for $50 Good to have a few spares

I've got 2 spares; (+ my Oppo & 3 cheap dvd players that will play cd) but my main player was over $3k originally & is really good. I'm waiting for a whopping $16 of parts. Diagnosis & partial repair was $43; I don't expect installing 2 belts to be much more; so I think I'll be happy. It apparently takes the only authorized parts reseller in the USA almost a month to receive & ship out the belts (the local tech wanted me to order them rather then the tech doing so); which is frustrating.

Thanks Pete. I will hold off and wait until the reissue comes out as you note. I loved this album as a kid and I'm sure it will resonate once again.
