hmmmm you know....for some reason I can almost swear I heard that J.D.Souther died recently. I'll check on this info of course. Hopefully I'm very wrong. As for Rick Roberts....I have no earthly idea

ok......whew......luckily I was very wrong about Mr. Souther. This is what Wikipedia says about his recent activity....
In December 2002, Souther moved from L.A to Nashville TN. He built a ranch-style house where he lives with his young, Irish wife and step-daughter. In January 2006, he recorded a new C.D, which is due to be released in March 2007 to coincide with a tour of Great Britain in May and June, 2007.
Now I'll try to track down Rick Roberts

This is as much as I've gotten.....which is nothing.
Roberts later toured with Chris Hillman during the latter's initial return to folk and bluegrass music. He was also a peripheral part of Michael Clarke's effort at hijacking the Byrds name, joining him as a member of one of the drummer's faux-"Byrds" lineups late in the 1980s. In 2005, the British label Gottdiscs re-released Roberts' two 1970s solo albums on a single CD.
