Glenn Povey is the Mark Lewisohn of Pink Floyd. I've read a couple of his other books and they're excellent. He's thorough and complete. I've had this one on order for many months. I'm glad that it's finally got a release date. I'd recommend this one or any of his others for Pink Floyd fans.

Yeah I have heard about this writer myself and Larry is right by the Mark Lewisohn comparison. I'm in!

From Glenn's very excellent website Brian Damage:
THE COMPLETE PINK FLOYD - GLENN POVEY March 2016 (To be confirmed) Prepare a space on your bookshelves: The Complete Pink Floyd is expected in or around March 2016. Many of you will know the superb book, Echoes. Written by the creator and founder of Brain Damage Magazine (the forerunner of this website) Glenn Povey, it has, since its publication in 2006, been a truly essential guide to the life and times of Pink Floyd, listing (at the time) every known concert, every appearance, every song, every turn and twist in the amazing story of one of the world's most famous bands.
Since then, Glenn has been tirelessly carrying on his research, uncovering concerts and appearances which had previously been lost in the mists of time. He has also had the great privilege of being allowed access to all of the band's Abbey Road recording notes (the only person to do so).
This complete reboot of Echoes, under the new title The Complete Pink Floyd, is illustrated with all-new material, including hundreds of photographs and rare memorabilia. Every solo concert has been updated for Waters and Gilmour, and details of the band's many re-released albums have been added, including never-before-published research into their earliest recordings from 1965. The original Echoes was a great book but this upgrade should be utterly essential to any serious Pink Floyd fan.

Ah, as I thought-an update with a new name.
Echoes is taking up a lot of space on my shelf, but I guess I'll add another one!
