I had those Steve Millers ordered. I don't think they ever saw the light of day anywhere. If someone has them on CD, let us know. I think he yanked them. I can't believe Buckingham hasn't released that album yet.

I don't much care about Beatles Rarities or Love Songs. There's nothing in either set that hasn't made it to CD otherwise, no?

On the other hand, I was able to get Harry Nilsson's Flash Harry, the Rocket label albums of Colin Blunstone (lead singer of the Zombies), and Boz Scaggs first album on CD last year, and no one would have guessed we'd see any of those on CD. Hell, Coln told me to my face not to expect his records on CD about 3 years ago. So, hope springs eternal, right?

BTW, there is still one obscure Colin Blunstone album, Late Nights in Soho, that hasn't made CD yet. That deserves inclusion on your list, Renny.

Gotta say those will never see the light of day, at least officially.

My top want-on-CD is still the Summer Suns' Calpurnia album from 1991. The vinyl is OOP and there's not even a download that I can find, legal or otherwise.

The no. 1 album on my 2015 best-of list- Paul Orwell's Blowing Your Mind-- is currently vinyl only, though a CD version is rumored for this year. I'm not holding my breath as I've read Orwell isn't crazy about CDs or downloads.

It didn't actually come out on CD to my knowledge, but I did get a lossless download of Rubber Rodeo's "Heartbreak Highway". I suspect this is what's going to happen...some of these wishlist titles will go directly to lossless download without ever having made it to CD.

Shiloh came out in South Korea in 2014 as a mini-LP CD. I'm sure it's a needledrop, but to be sure, I order a copy a couple of weeks ago. :)

I've already got a great sounding Buckingham/Nicks boot, so I'm all set on that one.

I need to transfer my old band's two albums to CD-they were only on cassette in 1992 and 1994 (hey, it was hip and we were an Indie band), and I still have them.

The 5 people who are clamoring for them need our music on CD!

As far as the hits, the labels are only slitting there own throats as all the popular ones are readily available in good sounding fan editions.

That said, My entire 2015 list from the similar thread is still unreleased on cd (CSN replay is for sale on Pono at 44/16 as is Time Fades Away)

1. Wendy Waldman Which Way To Main Street (her entire Warner catalog is once again oop also)
2. Barry Melton ... The Fish
3. Buddy Miles Live 2 LP
4. Buddy Miles We Got To Live Together
5. Buckingham Nicks
6. Country Joe & The Fish Reunion
7. David Bowie 1980 Floor Show (I know this is a boot, but Tony Defries appears to have the master tapes as the version of Time from this was on one of his 90's UK rarities collections in pristine remixed sound quality)
8. David Werner Whizz Kid
9. Duke Ellington - the 50's material that Sony doesn't have in print
10-12. Rick Ruskin All 3 Takoma releases
13. Shari Ulrich Long Nights
14. Neil Young - Journey Through The Past
15. Shari Ulrich - Talk Around Town
16. Shari Ulrich - One Step Ahead

The Cyclones, The Pop, The Keys, The Cretones, The Sidewinders and Circus still remain from previous years' wishes. The Beckies were finally released on CD in 2015, so I have hope for the others.

Here's my perpetual list, with a few changes:

1.) Roger Miller - None of his non-compilation albums have ever been released on CD, as far as I know. While there have been some very good comps, many of my favorite songs have been overlooked/ignored. This could be a goldmine for a reissue label.

2.) Johnny Cash - There are quite a few of Johnny's Columbia albums from the 60's thru the 80's that have never been released as individual CD's, though I believe that some have been included in large boxed sets. The one I really want to see is Hello, I'm Johnny Cash. Some of my favorite songs on here include "Southwind", "I've Got A Thing About Trains", and "Route 1, Box 144". This album was part of the Columbia Records suitcase set, but this overlooked gem should be available as an individual disc.

3.) Herb Alpert - BIG NEWS! Most of my wish list will go away when 26 albums are released on the Herb Alpert Presents label sometime this spring. Just You & Me will be the only Herb Alpert album that's never been released on CD, and I would expect to see that one in Wave 2.

4.) Maynard Ferguson - Kind of a cheat, but Sleepy Night Records announced a 2-CD compilation of unreleased performances called Lost Tapes, Volume 3 a few years ago. They just posted that there are issues with MF's estate that are holding up the release. (As an aside, Sleepy Night Records is looking to expand their reissue schedule and have asked for requests.)

5.) David Chesky - Rush Hour (Columbia). The title song was on an Oldsmobile demo cassette when I was a kid, and it sounded great. I'd love to hear it again.

Jim

I'm curious as to whether Sundazed has dug up any more mono masters covering any or all of the remainder of the Lovin' Spoonful's catalog.

Other than that--I'm not even sure if it matters any more whether or not a particular song is available on compact disc or not. Even incredibly rare vinyl-only tracks are just a click away.

Henley has no problem with countless reissues and repackages of the Eagles work, but he'd probably want to sue this out of existence.
