This is the cartoon that is a Ronin knock-off, right?

I never did get around to looking at that Samurai Jack comic book that came out a year or so back.

Anyone look at that?

I read that when it first came out. Didn't care for it.

Looks grim and gritty to me. Is it? Grim? And/or gritty?

I'd have loved it when I was fifteen, mind you.

It's got a grim 'n gritty setting but the actual tone of the series is more whimsical and high-adventure. It's definitely fun.

Or were you talking about Ronin?

They did a wee nod to Walt Siminsons Manhunter during the run

Awesome series.

A bit grim and gritty but appropriate for kids. It's set in the far future and while he "kills" tons of enemies and creatures, they're all obvious robots. He goes up against live adversaries as well, but not a lot of bloodshed there.

Mostly serious stories filled with fun characters.

There was one troll that followed him around, trying to change the subject, trying to shift the focus to himself.

I think he got killed off-camera.
