I finished this on Friday. I'd always heard about how Fogerty got a major fucking-over by Fantasy and by his band-mates, but this really sheds new light on that. It was pretty bad and pretty sad.

I heard this Larry. He was robbed and disrespected in so many ways. Where is that ruthless Alan Klein when you need him?

Listening to the audio read by John is a trip in its self. He gets so excited, even has my Lab jumping off the bed to go into the other room to get some sleep.

Just finished the audio book, WOW! One of the cool features is that his wife Julie narrates her recollections.
How he got thru what he went thru is beyond comprehension. Of course it was his second wife, Julie who partnered with him that got him to the other side.
Terrific book, great to finally know the truth about the man from the man. 5 stars!

I agree, but when I was reading this, I was thinking that it was too bad that Doug and Stu would never have a chance to give their side(s) of the story, even if they wanted to.

Just found out that John Fogerty will be on "Coast to Coast" radio program tonight at 1:00am est. Should be good.
As for Stu & Doug, their been other books where they had their chance. Yeah, they were good sidemen but got real lucky coming across John. They chose the money & the Fantasy label so this is what happens. Betrayal comes with a heavy price.
