Craig’s family said in a statement that the actress, best known for originating the role of Batgirl in the 1960s “Batman” TV series, died in her Pacific Palisades home surrounded by loved ones.
"She had been in chemo almost continuously for the past two plus years since being diagnosed and that had weakened her immune system as well as her body," the statement said, per CNN. "This didn't dampen her sense of humor or her spirit, she intended to fight and win this battle. A very very sad day. And I would imagine, for Linda. She was one the few live action superheroes who met my extreme standards on looking the part. She was PERFECT and was and always will be Batgirl. She was also my favorite from the TV show, even above the two leads. RIP, thank you for the memories, and Linda hope you are doing ok today.

Holy, man. I am extremely sorry to hear this. Brother Beachy will be even sorrier - he was such a life long fan.
She was simply great. What a shame. She will be missed, but always remembered fondly.

They're changing their scheduled Batman episodes for Saturday night to the Batgirl/Louie the Lilac/Song of the Siren episodes and changing their scheduled Star Trek episode to Yvonne's episode.
