One of my favorite older movies and available on blu ray for a limited time. They did what I believe was a 3000-unit run a few years back that sold out quickly. This time it's a 4k restoration and a 5000-unit run. It's pricey, but their titles do sell out, so get it if you want it.

Starring: Pat Boone, James Mason, Arlene Dahl, Diane Baker, Thayer David, Alan Napier

Ironically, I just watched the dvd of that for the 1st time in the last couple weeks & enjoyed it. Can't see going $30, though.

Yeah...the price is a bit high and there aren't many movies that I'd pony up that much money for. For this one though, I was willing.

A childhood favorite, and it holds up quite well for 50s sci-fi.

I like 50's sci-fi; it's so wonderfully mindless.

Mine arrived today John, so if you pre-ordered, I'd expect it soon.

Loved that volcano elevator roller coaster! Should be a ride at Disney.

Got my Blu-Ray today in the mail. We have Nightcrawler to watch tonight but hope to give this new 4K remaster a try on Monday.

I still think it's so ironic that I just watched it for the 1st time with no awareness of this release!

Just got done watching it. The picture was wonderful...definitely the best it's ever looked. The sound is okay, but for something that age it would be hard to expect more. Overall, I'm pleased. Enjoy John!

Great movie, stunning scenes, great story
Should be a no brainer on BluRay for $10 not $30

Blame this on whoever owns the movie. When they give exclusive rights to a company that specializes in short runs, this is what you get.

Watched First Men In The Moon (1964) which is has also been remastered at 4K by Screen Archives but it's just not as good a movie. First half is like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and then some decent FX in the moon scenes. Guess back then they still held up hope their could be a Creature On The Moon.

First Men in the Moon and Robinson Crusoe on Mars were two big reasons why I wanted to be an astronaut. Plus, the whole space race thing, too...

I enjoy many 50's & 60's sci-fi flicks. If you're in a more aerty mood Russia & East Germany did some really cool ones at this same time period.

While it's later, the original Russian version of Solaris DESTROYS Clooney's weak re-make.
