"The Complete Columbia Singles" features all of The Raiders biggest hits (66 in all!), with important b-sides culled from their original mono & stereo 45 mixes. Super original 45 smashes like "Kicks, Too Much Talk, Hungry, Louie, Louie, Good Thing, Indian Reservation, Let Me, Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon, & Steppin’ Out" are some of the great tunes included. Rare sides like "Song For Swingy" are also on board, along with mid-70's hits like Country Wine & Birds Of A Feather, all making this one of the most important hits collections to be released this year. New liner notes from Mark Lindsay + rare photos.

There's barely any information yet, however, it is very possible that this will be a reissue of the out of print 3CD compilation with the same title that was released by the defunct Collectors' Choice label a few years ago:

I just listened to "Kicks," "Hungry," "Good Thing," Ups and Downs," "Him or Me," and "I Had A Dream." The sound is stunning. The way it was meant to be heard. I highly recommend this wonderfully remastered collection to any serious 60s music collector. It falls in the must-have category. Comparable to the Stones' 2002 remasters. God, why didn't anyone ever recognize "I Had A Dream"??!! It is arguably the most underappreciated rock song of its era. Listen to the Hammond B3 on this song--it has never been played better on a rock recording--"Green Onions" included. Wow--I'm gonna listen to it again right now! Buy this set. You will not be sorry.

The original pressing is going for stupid money now, but even when it was in print it was still about twice the cost of this new Friday Music release. Don't know if the pricing is a mistake or they're just considering this a budget title now, but we should probably pre-order this version right now to lock in the current price:

I have the Collectors' Choice edition, and it is FANTASTIC.

Bump: Added cover image to the first post. It's a different (I would say better) image than what adorned the previous edition on Collectors' Choice.

Still no track listing, but we do have a description from Friday Music, also now in the first post.

Not conclusive evidence, but the product description notes 66 tracks, leading me to believe that they are same 66 that comprise the Collector's Choice issue. Be that as it may, anyone who doesn't have this collection of excellent 60s rock music should not hesitate to buy it. It is, without a doubt, the definitive mastering job of these great, career-defining recordings. And....agreed...the cover is a vast improvement.
