This will probably be a short thread. Dig out those old 45s.
Oh How I'd Like To See Me On The B-Side--Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestra (possibly some Stones involvement, or maybe not) B-Side To Seaside--Suzy & the Red Stripes (a.k.a. Linda McCartney & Wings) B-Side Blues--Lenny Kravitz Our B Side--3 Dog Night

This isn't the same as the ones listed here, but it is a B-side, and it does have a kind of "meta" quality to it ...
The Undertones' B-Side "Fairly in the Money Now" is about the rise to fortune of a fictional band called Tommy Tate and the Torpedoes.
The song is written by guitarist Damian O'Neill, but the songwriting credit appeared on the record as "T. Tate and the Torpedoes."

The song is written by guitarist Damian O'Neill, but the songwriting credit appeared on the record as "T. Tate and the Torpedoes." Sorta in the same ballpark, Ringo Starr's "Early 1970" (b-side to "It Don't Come Easy"), is all about his him & his ex-bandmates.

The flip side of Zal Yanovsky's 1967 single, "As Long As You're Here" was "Ereh Er'ouy Sa Gnol Sa"--the single played backwards. The label on the 45 even went so far as to print the writing and production credits backwards. http://www.discogs.com/Zalman-Yanovsky- ... se/3296051

The b-side of The 5th Dimension's "Save The Country" (1970 Laura Nyro cover) was a ditty called "Dimension 5".
On their LP "Portrait" they called it "Dimension 5ive"...
