Do you think that a Batman TV series set in the 1966 universe could work today? Whom would you cast as the characters?

No---Batman '66 was very much of its time and place and that's probably how people still look on that take on Batman.
But---if they did remake it,Nathan Fillion would make a good Batman.

If it was done in the 90s, I'd say Bruce Campbell.

Now, hmm.

Bruce Campbell as Batman would have been fun.
But I got Jack of All Trades, and that was close enough.

Matt Keeslar from The Middleman could make for a good Batman. He's 42 these days.
Doesn't look like he went on to do much in movies or television.

I'd be into this if it was DKR set in the Batman '66 Universe. Which for the record I have put a lot of thought into what I think this would look like.

How old is Frankie Muniz? He could be a good Robin 66.

I'd watch a remake of the 60's Batman - if they had the right cast, it would work brilliantly.

I'm inclined to think the same, but that's not to say that a lighter version of Batman with much of the same spirit might not work. Something that's inspired in some way by the old series, without trying to copy it.

I would tend to think this couldn't work today in live action ... but I'm perfectly content with Batman '66 spirit in the Batman: The Brave and Bold series. Thoroughly enjoyed almost every episode and every take on the characters.
