From the left -- 3CD Set, 2DVD Set, Blu-ray:

(Kayos) Eagle Rock have announced that they will be releasing Yes' "Songs From Tsongas - The 35th Anniversary Concert - Special Edition "on 2DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital Formats, and the first ever release of "Songs >From Tsongas" as a 3CD set on September 23rd. We were sent these details:

The Special Edition of Songs From Tsongas contains two different concerts from Yes' 35th Anniversary Tour in 2004, the last tour to feature the classic line-up of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Rick Wakeman and Alan White. In addition to the originally released Songs From Tsongas show, this DVD is packed with an additional 70 minutes of never-before-released highlights from Lugano. Songs From Tsongas offers a fantastic set list of favorites and rarities including "Going For The One," "Roundabout," "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," "And You And I," "Starship Trooper," "Wonderous Stories," "I've Seen All Good People," "Yours Is No Disgrace," "Ritual," "Turn Of The Century," and many more captured here in all their glory.

Disc One of the Special Edition DVD contains the whole concert from the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Massachusetts, previously spread across two discs. This epic show features tracks from across the band's career including an extensive acoustic section (tracks 11 - 18) and some tracks that have rarely been performed live. This entire concert is featured on the Songs From Tsongas 3CD.

Disc Two features a very different concert on the same tour filmed at Estival in Lugano, Switzerland. This outdoor show has a stripped down stage and full on rock versions of the acoustic tracks from Tsongas while the crowd wield a multitude of umbrellas against the pouring rain, which is clearly not preventing them having a great time!

As a Bonus Feature, the DVD includes another track "Ritual," also filmed at the Tsongas Arena, and an insightful interview with legendary designer and Yes collaborator Roger Dean who created the brand new stage set for the shows.

It says it's Anderson, also this was from 2004.

Thanks!

I really wish Amazon would print audio details on blu-rays.

The ones they had anything to do with:

Yessongs (1973)
Yesshows (1980)
9012Live: The Solos (1985)
Keys To Ascension (1996) w 2 studio cuts
Keys To Ascension 2 (1997) w 5 studio cuts
House Of Yes: Live From The House Of Blues (2000)
The Word Is Live (2005) box set covering early 70's to late 80's
In The Present: Live In Lyon (2011)

then you have these that Eagle have licensed as soundtracks to DVDs:

Live At Montreux 2003 (2007) recorded 2003
Symphonic Live (2009) recorded 2001
Songs From Tsongas-The 35th Anniversary Concert (2014) recorded 2004

There's also these semi-official ones:
An Evening Of Yes Music Plus (1993) ABWH live recorded 1989
Something's Coming: The BBC Recordings 1969-1970 (1997)
Union Live (2011) recorded 1991
Live At The NEC (2012) ABWH recorded live 1989

I think that covers it, but I might've missed something.

The Eagle releases they have little to do with. Eagle often issues soundtracks to their DVDs but these sell strictly to the diehards.

wow!

16 live CD's and most of those i presume are more than one disc.

overkill to say the least.

I'm pretty sure the Voiceprint ones are 100% official.

My 2 favs are YesSongs & 9012Live

"Something's Coming: The BBC Recordings 1969-1970 (1997)" has been re-released a number of times since under other names. If I remember correctly, Peter Banks owned those recordings and was responsible for their initial release.

By the way, according to his Facebook postings, Billy Sherwood is producing a new Yes concert video from the recent tour, so maybe we'll be looking at another live album soon! :-)

I believe I own 14 of those 16 live albums, and I don't think they're overkill. They've had so many lineups and set lists that I can enjoy most of those albums/videos without feeling like they're being repetitive. "Symphonic Live" is high up on my list of favorite Yes live albums. Not sure how many people feel the same way, but it's a great combination of performance and sound/video quality.

It's not overkill. (I knew that was coming).

As I explained, they have little to do with 7 of them.

Also, they've been around for over 40 years and traditional live albums really don't exist anymore.

Many, many artists throw out live releases now as nothing but scraps for the diehards. I only own the classic live albums and none of the Eagle releases.

The Voiceprint are official but more in the "official bootleg" area than traditional live albums.

Absolutely right... who needs all of these?

It's All Coming Back To Me Now...
King Biscuit Flower Hour
CPR: Live at Cuesta College
Live at the Wiltern
Crosby-Nash Live
Another Stoney Evening
4 Way Street
Allies
Déjà Vu Live
CSN 2012
CSNY 1974
Live in LA
The Acoustic Concert
Long Time Comin'

By my rough math, in both cases you're looking at approximately one live release for every 1.5 studio releases... I'm guessing this is hardly unique for legacy artists these days, especially if one counts the proliferation of digital downloads now available.

amazing.........another totally lame attempt at debasing david crosby and CSN(Y) because someone doesn't like something i said.

once again, for the record, it doesn't hurt (upset, bother, anger, or pick whatever word you were trying to do) me when you do this....nor does CSN(Y) care either.

:sigh:

It's not a debasement at all, it's a comparison in terms that you are directly familiar with.

Personally, I don't care how many live albums any artist/band releases. What makes it "overkill" in one case versus another is completely subjective.

Live in LA????? Which one is that? You left out about 10 Neil Young live albums also!

Agreed. I don't own all of the Yes live albums, though I probably have most of them. I think it's cool they're out there. No one's forcing anyone to buy them. I'd rather have the option of having them out there than them not being available.

Never overkill if not forced to purchase.

Yep-what's the big deal?

Hard to believe, but some fans will buy it because they actually want it-egads!

Nobody has to purchase an album, a ticket or even a Yes condom (or would that say YES!) instead?

I'm with you there! Magnification is probably my favorite late era Yes album and I enjoyed the tours that went with it, both symphonic and with Wakeman.
