Given the state of John Waite's solo career, it might have been better for everyone if he had been part of this project.

john waite did a luncheon show in downtown youngstown ohio last month for an orginzation called the monday musical club. when i told my wife that the babys were doing a new album she replied< "why"? i said excellent answer

No John Waite? Not even Ricky Philips? What's the point? I know it's Stocker and Brock, but it's still basically a bar band that gets to use a well-known name.
And really, besides being able to use the name, why would Waite even consider getting back together with these guys? He wrote the songs. I always liked Stocker, but what would those guys bring to the table that any other studio musician he works with wouldn't?
The song is decent. Not great, but not horrible.

Such basic artwork, and generic bar-band sounding preview track, makes this easily dismissible for me.

Not only has The Babys returned with their first album in 30 years but the band has also returned to the charts, scoring a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot Single Sales chart.
The band's latest single "I See You There" has landed at No. 9 this week on the Billboard chart. The track comes from the group's comeback album "I'll Have Some Of That", which was released this past summer.
The current incarnation of the Babys features original members Wally Stocker (lead guitar) and Tony Brock (drums) as well as new lead vocalist and bass player John Bisaha and guitarist Joey Sykes.

If they're talking about sales, then surely it's the digital single. If they mean airplay, now it would be streaming via YouTube, Spotify, etc.
I agree, it is very cool even without the great Waite.
