Would he be awesome enough to defeat Batman without steroids, but with a sensible workout schedule?

If Chuck Dixon wrote it. He was supposed to be as smart as Bruce, as originally conceived.

The inspiration was an evil version of Doc Savage, which seems cool.
Now he'd use supplements that are like steroids but aren't technically steroids, so he could pass all Legion of Doom random urine tests.

Why not base him on the Tom Hardy character in The Dark Knight Rises? That guy was pretty cool.

If he's reformed all natural. If he's a baddie he should be on venom.

I'm fine with the steroids, but find a way to defeat Bane without either cutting off the steroid flow or causing him to overdose on steroids.

Bane is a bad guy. Does it really matter whether he uses steroids or not?

When I first saw him in the 90s, I thought they were trying to give Batman his own Venom (the Spider-Man villain, not the steroid).
