So last night was even better than I expected. We went to the goth bar event that Ian normally goes too. Since goth stuff isn't something I overly care about I normally push for us to do something that interrests me a bit more since NY eve has always been kind of a big deal for me it's not that I'm looking for the party of the year or anything it's just that I want to be sure I'm enjoying myself that night. I like to feel like I'm bringing in the NY right. This year however I've had a bad enought year that I just really wanted to be doing something, my hopes weren't high that I'd be having a great time also Ian was the King this year so I figure it would be a good reason to go haha. In the end though I'm really happy I went I had a great time AND Ian requested Doctorin theTardis for me then right after that a song for Trainspotting came on so I was very happy with that. I'm also a little selfishly happy that I went there instead of us deciding to go to the only other event I was thinking of to support a DJ friend as that night appearently went terribly and ended in the owner punching the DJ cause he hadn't played the song he requested yet.
Oh and before all the evening events me and Ian went to see American Hustle which was really good! We then came home and drank a glass of Black Velvet together, that's toasted caramel whisky a christmas present I got for us I'm so glad I did because it is amazing also it tastes like the 70's and so was a good thing to drink after seeing American Hustle. heh
So how did everyone else bring in the new year?

I went to sleep and woke up the next morning. I took walks around the park in the morning and evening. I usually walk around it in the morning anyway, but this time I sat for a while in an isolated area and just enjoyed being there. The morning and evening were both beautiful. They were great times to experience God's presence.
I also spent about two hours at work (No patrons to worry about!) clearing some of the past year's junk out of my office and starting our broken equipment discard list for 2014. And I did some reading at home and ran my motorcycle for a few minutes to give the engine some much-needed exercise. It was a good day.

We spent New Year's Eve taking in a double feature (Walter Mitty and American Hustle) followed by a very late supper at IHOP. Then home to watch Scorcese and DiNero's King of Comedy, which got us through midnight.

The lovely Mrs. Tomorrow and I spent the night watching movies on TV. One was Bruce Willis as a Pittsburg Water Rescue Cop, an oldie but goodie, and the other was one of our favorites "Streets of Fire". At 11:59 we switched over to coverage of the NYC Times Square countdown. At 12:01 we went back to the movies, a newer flick called "The Best Man".. I figure a 2 minute acknowlegement of a date change is the most we could spare. After all, at our age every day is cause to celebrate!
